Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara were Menachem Avel the Paley family in Ramot, following last Friday’s ramming terror attack which claimed the lives of 6-year-old Asher and 8-year-old Menachem hy”d and critically injured their husband/father.
Accompanying the prime minister and his wife was Avi Gil, who serves as Netanyahu’s military secretary. Listening to Mrs. Devorah Paley and her surviving children’s unbelievable strength, perseverance, emunah and bitachon in the face of unimaginable tragedy, Gil was deeply moved.
At the conclusion of the shiva visit, the prime minister’s military secretary approached the grandfather of the niftarim with tears in his eyes.
“I envy you for having such grandchildren… the living, not the murdered ones,” Gil said.
