Following the stabbing terror attack this evening at the Shuafat crossing, Police forces of the Jerusalem district and Border Police officers have been operating in the last few hours inside the Shuafat area to make arrests.

During the operational activity, police forces encountered physical disturbances that included throwing of stones.

This evening, three family members of the terrorist who carried out the stabbing terror attack were arrested for further investigation (his parents and brother).

A short time ago, during the operation of the Border Police forces inside Shuafat, a vehicle sped towards the forces and allegedly tried to run over the officers. In response, the officers who felt their lives were in danger, fired at the threat. The suspect who was driving the vehicle was apprehended and was taken for medical treatment.

There are no casualties to Israeli forces and the operational police activity continues at this time.
