The levaya of Yaakov Yisrael Paley, 6, h’yd, who was killed in the Ramot terror attack on Erev Shabbos, was held minutes before Shabbos at Har Hameunchos in Jerusalem. Sadly, his 8-year-old brother, Asher Menachem Paley, h’yd, who was critically injured in the attack, passed away from his wounds over Shabbos.

A statement from Shaare Tzedek Hospital on Motzei Shabbos said: “The boy arrived in critical condition while undergoing CPR, and many teams from the trauma unit, emergency room, pediatric intensive care, pediatric surgery, and neurosurgery fought for many hours for his life but unfortunately were forced to declare his death.”

The boys’ father, Avraham Noach, 42, was also injured in the attack and was evacuated to  Shaare Tzedek Hospital in serious condition. He underwent surgery over Shabbos and is now in moderate condition. Avraham Noach was on the way to escorting his three children to the bus stop in order to travel to a family simcha in Bnei Brak. He intended to see his children safely on the bus and then travel in his car with his wife and other children to the simcha.

The boys’ 10-year-old brother was lightly wounded in the attack. Two additional victims, men in their 20s, are hospitalized in serious condition in Shaare Tzedek and Hadassah Har Hatzofim Hospitals.

  1. Jacob and Asher were murdered in front of their father

Yaakov Israel Pelay, only six years old, was killed on the spot when a terrorist ran [with his car] into the bus stop at the Ramot intersection where he was standing with his family members – less than a day after he was buried, his brother was pronounced dead in the hospital, and the eight-year-old Menachem – the father of the family, who was hospitalized in a moderate condition, was not allowed to accompany His sons on their last journey – their grandfather eulogized them: “Two holy and pure babies died, who did not sin”

Avraham Pelay, the father of Jacob Israel Plai, 6 years old at the time of his death, and of Asher Pelay, 8 years old at the time of his death, did not get to accompany his sons on their last journey. He stood by their side at the bus stop at the Ramot intersection in Jerusalem, where they were found dead after a terrorist ran into it with his car in a run-over. Jacob’s death was determined on the spot. At the Shaare Zedek hospital, they fought for Asher’s life for hours. Many teams from the trauma unit, the department of emergency medicine, pediatric intensive care, surgery and pediatric neurosurgery did not leave the child’s bed. “Unfortunately, we were forced to announce his death,” they said yesterday…
Their brother, 16-year-old Zvika: “I was with you in the last moments, now you are in a high place. I ask for forgiveness.”

  2. It’s infuriating how they accuse us of the very crime they are guilty of themselves.

Imagine accusing your victim of the very crime he afflicted on you.

    You can’t get more evil.
