Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is making his rounds to world leaders and imploring them for military assistance as Vladimir Putin reportedly plans a massive new offensive to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the war on February 24th.
According to multiple reports, Russia has amassed 500,000 troops, 1,800 tanks, 3,950 armored vehicles, 2,700 artillery launchers, 810 rocket launchers, 400 fighter jets, and 300 helicopters, as it prepares for the massive new deadly assault on Ukraine.
The assault is expected to be “much bigger” than the original one when Putin announced the invasion of Ukraine.
“It’s much bigger than what took place in the first wave,” a Ukrainian intelligence official said.
“They are not paying attention to any casualties or losses. In the next 10 days, we expect a new, huge invasion,” the unnamed official said.
However, the Pentagon notes that most Russian soldiers being shipped to the battlefield are “ill-equipped [and] ill-trained” and that they’ve been “rushed” to the frontline before being ready to fight.
