Journalists covering the White House are sick and tired of Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s press conferences, and are “exasperated” with her as they try in vain to get her to answer basic questions.

“She is arguably the least effective White House press secretary of the television era,” an unnamed journalist told CNN’s Oliver Darcy.

“You just get the feeling that you’re wasting your time and whatever is in front of her in the binder is all she is going to say, no matter how many times you ask the question. It’s just a painful waste of time,” another said.

The reporters were particularly upset over Jean-Pierre’s press conferences in the last week. This past Friday, the press secretary told reporters that the search for classified documents in Biden-occupied offices and residences had been “completed”; just days later, additional classified documents were found.

When asked why she lied six times about the search being completed, Jean-Pierre gave a bunch of non-answers before being spoon-fed an answer and concurred with a reporter that she didn’t know the search was still ongoing.

“There is the expectation that when you say something, it’s going to be true,” an unnamed White House correspondent told CNN. “That’s been the biggest credibility hit for her, it’s answering a question in a way that ends up not being true.”

Though she is arguably the worst White House press secretary to ever hold the job, Biden is likely stuck with her after hailing her promotion to the post as “historic” because she is the first black woman to hold the job.
