Why does the apple logo have a bite in it to show its not a cherry if u could also bite cherries
I once heard in the name of Rabbi Eli Mansour that according to the midrash the main sin of eitz hadaas was loshon hara and today in the era of social media a person can spead lashon hara to thousands with the click of a botton (or a swipe on a screen) so when a person sees the bitten apple logo it can serve as a reminder of the eitz hadaas and he’ll watch what he writes

To get off my sarcasm seat for a second, yes I’m well aware that Steve and Steve called their company “Apple” because it was “plucking the fruit of knowledge”. However, we have the Gemara which brings several pshatim as to what the fruit was and none of them are apples.
When you like something you have to bite into it so it indicates that it sells well.
Not aware of any opinion in Chazal that says that the Etz Hadaas was an apple tree. I’ve seen it depicted as such in Goyishe and secular, non Orthodox artwork. But in a Torah source, not aware of any such thing.
apparently apple was introduced from Latin bonum et malum – good and evil, where malum is also apple.
apple were popular in Europe and Greece, where it was used to start a conflict between idols (idolesses?) leading to Trojan war.
apples seem to be known in EY some time before David, but not that popular. There are tapuchim in Bereshis, not clear if those are actually apples.
Regarding the fruit of the עץ הדעת, if I’m not mistaken, the opinions are:
Wheat
Grapes
Figs
Nuts
EsrogimP.S. Esrog can also be called תפוח

Rashi in Parshas Toldos says the field which Hashem blessed (meaning Gan Eden) is the “Apple Field”.
Meaning, the field is of Apples, but the Tree itself was clearly not, according to Chazal. (Fig, Grape, Esrog, Wheat). The Zohar (first meal of Shabbos) calls it “Chaqal Tapuchin Qadishin” – Holy Apple FieldI dont think the vort was specifically about an apple its just that the logo is of a fruit with a bite taken out of it (as in the forbidden fruit)

Tapuach may be some other fruit
It was made with a bitten apple so all you guys can have what to discuss. I’ll go make a company and give you guys another topic to discuss. Don’t worry you won’t be bored.
There are no tapuchim in Bereishis. The first mention of “tapuach” is in Shir Hashirim. And this is used by some as evidence that Shir Hashirim was written quite late, and was not written by Shlomo Hamelech.
As for apples, they were not known in the middle east at the time of matan torah. Maybe not even when Shir Hashirim was written, since Tosfos says the “tapuach” there is an esrog.
