An NYPD Officer was shot in Brooklyn, Wednesday afternoon, at Utica Avenue and Empire Boulevard. The officer was reportedly on duty at the time of the shooting. He was shot in the leg, and was rushed to KIngs County Trauma Center, where he is listed in stable condition. Sources tell YWN that a suspect has been taken into custody, and the weapon used was recovered.

It is still unknown why the suspect fired at the officer.
