Want Smicha but can’t commit to a full-time program? Want to learn extremely life-relevant Halochos pertaining to conducting a truly kosher home? Bais Toras Menachem is for you.
Bais Toras Menachem of Los Angeles is excited to announce the online launch of its famous Smicha shiur with renowned Magid Shiur Rabbi Levi Chazan. Now in our 15th year, Rabbi Chazan has guided many scores of bochurim and balei batim through the various courses of Smicha, and has built a solid reputation for his clear delivery and command of the material as well as for establishing a warm rapport with every single student.
The essential coursework towards Smicha ordination is heavily based upon the texts of Shluchan Aroch, illuminated with the various commentaries including Shach, Taz, and B’eer Haitiv, as well as related Poskim, with practical applications of the various aspects of Halacha and Minhag.
After deliberate thorough learning and review of each section, students are given a pre-test by Rabbi Levi Chazan, and then a final test by Rabbi Elchonon Tauber, Rav and Posek of Congregation Bais Yehuda in Los Angeles. The Smicha ordination is granted to students who are proficient in attendance, diligence, participation, and of course test performance.
The new semester for the study of “Basar B’chalav” will commence next week, Monday, the 23rd of Teves, January 16, 2023. Live instruction will be at Congregation Levi Yitzchok, 356 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, with full capacity for online feed via Zoom. Reasonable tuition rates.
