It was absolute stupidity and the photos were taken down from the website within hours and never appeared in the print addition the next morning. That doesn’t excuse the episode and WAPOS’s frequent use of stock photos of Jewish scenes with stereotype tropes to illustrate articles having little to do with Jews.
