An elite border police unit working with IDF troops and ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) agents during the predawn hours Sunday eliminated senior Hamas terrorist Shihab al-Natsheh in Chevron. Officials confirmed the report, stating after the wanted terrorist refused to give himself up, the order was given to destroy his home.

The order was given to fire a shell into the home after it became clear that al-Natsheh was not surrendering.

Officials report he was behind the suicide bombing attack in Dimona on February 4, 2008, which claimed the life of 73-year-old Lyubov Razdolskaya. Security forces have been searching for him for a number of months.

The Izzadin el-Kassam military wing of Hamas vowed to avenge the killing of Natsheh, releasing a message that “revenge will be swift and painful.”
