Donald Trump wasn’t pleased with the Jan. 6 committee referring him to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution Monday, with the former president taking to Truth Social to protest.
The committee said it believes he committed four crimes: incitement of insurrection, obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to make a false statement, and conspiracy to defraud the United States.
“The fake charges made by the highly partisan Unselect Committee of January 6th have already been submitted, prosecuted, and tried in the form of Impeachment Hoax #2. I WON convincingly. Double jeopardy anyone!” Trump wrote.
“The people understand that the Democratic Bureau of Investigation, the DBI, are out to keep me from running for president because they know I’ll win and that this whole business of prosecuting me is just like impeachment was – a partisan attempt to sideline me and the Republican Party,” he wrote in a second post.
“STATEMENT ON JAN 6 COMMITTEE REFERRAL,” he wrote in another post. “These folks don’t get it that when they come after me, people who love freedom rally around me. It strengthens me. What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. Americans know that I pushed for 20,000 troops to prevent violence on Jan 6, and that I went on television and told everyone to go home….”
“Think of it!” Trump continued. “The Radical Left Democrats (Communists), SPIED on my campaign, lied to the FISA COURT, lied to CONGRESS, allowed an INVASION of our COUNTRY on the Southern Border, EMBARRASSED us in Afghanistan, gave away our Energy Independence, killed us on job losing Regulations, wouldn’t use the 10,000 plus soldiers I recommended for Jan 6th, refused to look into Election Fraud-the reason for Jan 6th, Rigged & Stole the 2020 Election, allowed Ballot Stuffing, FBI/Facebook/Twitter & Biden CRIME!”
“… And I’m the one that the Corrupt and Partisan Unselect Committee goes after. A two tiered “Justice” System … And, by the way, what ever happened with the Massive number of CRIMES committed by JOE & HUNTER BIDEN? They’re right there, documented and 100% certain. Also, where is the prosecutor from Delaware? What happened to him? Is he friends with the Ukrainian Prosecutor who didn’t prosecute after Biden held up the $BILLION PAYMENT to Ukraine? I DID NOTHING WRONG!”

To my dear beloved Donald,
At this stage, whether or not you ‘did anything wrong’, should probably be probed by the justice department and decided by a fair judge and jury. Otherwise, you will never succeed in getting clean again.
I couldn’t of said it better!!
Dec. 31, 2020 – “I have no doubt that an aggressive DA or US Atty someplace will go after both the president and his lawyers once all the dust settles on this,” John Eastman, wrote to fellow members of the Trump legal team.
Dec 19,2022 – The Jan. 6 panel issued a criminal referral to the Department of Justice for attorney John Eastman, the architect of the scheme to pressure then-Vice President Mike Pence to reject states’ electoral votes on Jan. 6 and have fake electors submitted to the Congress instead.
Why can’t the Trump children intervene and get Donald the help he so desperately needs? There rants are not coming from a well man.
If charged by the DOJ which isn’t certain he would get his day in court and the government would have to prove his guilt.
no to all crazy dems. on jan 6 he did nothing wrong. i dont agree with evreything he did
but hey look at our country now crazy
He may have done nothing illegal, but he did several things wrong.
#1 – He lost the election, largely by failing to address the large number of people doing early voting or mail in votes. Arguably this ranks with Al Gore’s supporters giving wrong instructions so many of them voted for the wrong candidate. Politics hate losers, and Trump was a loser, and a sore loser to boot.
#2 – He encourage a demonstration without making sure it would stay peaceful. It was no worse than what “Black Lives Matters” did routinely, but no politician ever put his or her name on the demonstration. Once the Trump “brand” was on the demonstration, which Trump did willingly, it was his responsibility when his demonstrators rioted.
#3 – His opponents aren’t exactly believers in rule of law, due process, etc., and Trump knew that, and instead played into their hands. And in politics, being a dumb loser is the ultimate wrong.
To Jack N: I have no doubt that you could not have said it better.
Which is closer to the truth:
1. “I did nothing wrong”, OR,
2. “I did nothing right”?
To yaakov doh: the Trump children cannot help their father because (1) they are no smarter than daddy, (2) Junior and Eric have no wealth other than what they expect to inherit from daddy, (3) Ivanka does not need daddy’s money, and (4) he won’t listen.
akuperma: Sad but true
He definitely did something wrong. The question is if he did something illegal. If he’s charged he’ll get his day in court to present his defense.
