SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Friday, day 38 of the virtual Gaza ceasefire.

*Today is Gilad Shalit’s 762nd day in Hamas captivity.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron on Thursday night arrested 10 people on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities. The suspects were turned over to the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) for interrogation.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*IDF Chief Ashkenazi met in Washington on Thursday with Chief of Joint Staff Admiral Michael Mullen and National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley.

*Nahariya-Tel Aviv train service will be halted on Tuesday and Wednesday next week in both directions to permit track work.

*Tiveria fire commander Yigal Chever was indicted yesterday, facing charges of fraud, bribery, breech of trust. The state has 115 witnesses who gave depositions against him in the case.
