Could someone please explain why it makes any difference if the person was frum or not?
For that mater, why does it make a difference if the person was even Jewish? A human being lost his life; it is a tragedy regardless.
Moderators Note: Good point. So god forbid if a child is killed by a truck in your Chicago neighborhood, you won’t even inquire if the child was Frum or Jewish. Nah. Just a tragic loss of life.
to Chicago “MAVEN”
Can you explain what MAVEN means, since you aren’t a MAVEN on somethings that every little Jewish child understands!!
Chicago Maven:
There are differences, though perhaps not what you might have had in mind.
For example, what if a reader of this site happens to have a non-chareidi friend in Ashdod. This hypothetical reader is saved the anguish of being concerned about his friend there.
