*Today is Gilad Shalit’s 761st day in Hamas captivity.

*A firebomb and rocks were hurled at IDF soldiers in Beit Omar north of Chevron. No injuries.

*A bomb was hurled at soldiers and terrorists opened fire at the military force as they operated in the Jenin district on Wednesday night. No injuries.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda & Shomron arrested 7 suspects.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*McCain: Israel faces its greatest threat in history.

*An MDA ambulance traveling to a call in Kabul was told the patient no longer required the EMS service. As the unit left, rocks were thrown at it smashing a rear window. A complaint was filed with Akko police. No injuries.

*Rabbi Moshe Levinger, who suffered a serious stroke some time ago, is continuing to show significant signs of improvement. Rav Levinger Shlita is viewed as the Father of the renewed Jewish presence in Chevron, Ir HaAvos.

*Senator Barak Obama wrapped up his one-day visit to Israel.

*A senior Syrian official stated his country will never be willing to enter into talks with Israel without an Israeli willingness to withdraw from the entire Golan Heights.

*The 11-year-old girl, a resident of Moshav Keshet in the Golan Heights, who was critically injured in a house fire on Monday night, died of her injuries Wednesday night. Her younger brother died in the blaze as well, which was caused by a short circuit in an air conditioner.
