Satmar Rebbe Of Williamsburg Stands with the Eida Gavaad

satIn a letter distributed to chassidim, the Satmar Rebbe of Williamsburg Shlita spoke of the division in the Eida Chareidis, lamenting the chasm that exists today. The rebbe addressed the recent issues that led to Eida Chareidis Ravaad HaGaon HaRav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita threatening to resign from his position. The rebbe begins the letter addressing the cause of the machlokes, the construction in Beit Shemesh known as the Golovnititz project, stating “darkness covers the land of bitter decrees that renew and overcome the people living in Tzion. An axe has been raised internally and externally on the holy nation to uproot from its source the emunah that prevails towards eliminating the holiness and eternity of Israel…”

The rebbe continues but clearly instructs his chassidim to stand behind the gavaad and his beis din.

  1. It’s beautiful seeing these two Gedolei Yisroel shlit”a together!

One thing we all need to keep in mind is that we laymen are in no position to pasken between a Beis Shammai and a Beis Hillel.

  2. Needless to say:- I do not comprehend the Machlokes enveloping the Eidah Chareidis, but I do comprehend the dictum of “Practice what you Preach” so may the 2 Satmar brothers & followers thereof also IY’H patch up their differences soonest.

  3. Can you make the letter readable? It doesn’t even look like it is on the Rebbe’s stationary. And the names in Hebrew and English look different. Can we see a better copy?

what about the division that exists between the two satmar rebbies. for us it is ok to fight , but not for you.

  5. פרעה said to יוסף הצדיק that his brothers should settle in גושן because, תועבת מצרים כל רועה צאן.
Then he says to יוסף הצדיק the following, ואם ידעת ויש בהם אנשי חיל ושמתם על המקנה אשר לי.

What a hypocrite. If it is forbidden to be a רועה צאן, how come he wants them to Shepherd his Livestock?

The answer to this is: I, פרעה am allowed to do anything I wish, but you are forbidden.

Exactly how it is at all Chasidic groups.

  6. #7: The hashkofos you learnt and absorbed in your reform upbringing that you now live by, have no place in the Torah world.

  7. Yidden, this is very sad!

Why the Loshon Harah, no matter which group you belong to? Let the Rabbi live and do what he feels is correct for his community- and leave your bad comments for the ‘goyishe posts’.
