On erev Shabbos Parshas Ki Sisa 5774 a military lookout post in Shomron detected four suspicious Arabs in proximity to the community of Itamar. The community’s first-response unit was notified and requested to respond to the Gidonim area along with soldiers. The suspected terrorists fled but they managed to apprehend three of them.

They were carrying knives, gloves and tools that would permit them to break into the community. It is believed they were preparing for a terror attack, which B’chasdei Hashem was averted. The suspects were turned over to the custody of the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet).

The Tatzpit agency adds that the fourth suspect was located at about 03:00 near the PA village of Iwarta, also armed with knives and burglars tools. The IDF Spokesman declined to confirm that report.
