Everything is fine on the salt front.
That’s the word from Gov. Andrew Cuomo on concerns that highway crews across the state are running low on salt supplies during the latest snowstorm.
The governor says some local municipalities had recent trouble replenishing salt supplies, but indicated Thursday that the problems had been resolved.
In a conference call with reporters, Cuomo said no highways have been closed as a result of the storm.
He says the State Police will monitor conditions throughout the day and will decide if road closings are needed on a case-by-case basis.
