14:47 IL: HaGaon HaRav Nissim Karelitz Shlita is out of surgery in Bnei Brak’s Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital. Hospital officials report the surgery went well and the rav is in a recovery room. At his bedside are his son-in-law HaGaon Rav Shriel Rosenberg, Rav Shmuel Hillel Karelitz, Rabbi Avrohom Yeshaya Karelitz and Meir Eschaik.

The rav underwent surgery for an intestinal blockage. He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night complaining of difficulty breathing. The rav’s personal physician, Prof. Weinberger was brought in and he is monitoring the rav’s care and his condition.
