Worried about the economy and your finances? Stop it, we’re busy worrying about other things. That’s what MSNBC contributor Michael Steele has to say to you.
Steele, appearing on the 11th Hour, said that democracy is at stake in the upcoming midterm elections, so Americans shouldn’t be concerned about their finances.
When host Stephanie Ruhle noted that the economy is Americans’ number one concern, Steele attacked the “anti-democratic insurrectionist Republican Party” to justify why people should still vote Democrat.
“Let’s just go back to January when the president gave the first State of the Union. He should’ve linked the economy and destiny, democracy together,” Steele said, adding that “it doesn’t matter what your gas prices are, baby” because without democracy, prices don’t matter.
Democrats must “help people understand that without an underlying, functioning democracy, it doesn’t matter what your gas prices are, baby. It won’t matter whether you’re paying $5 dollars for a gallon of gas or $2 dollars for a loaf of bread, what will matter is you won’t be able to afford anything because you can’t vote, you can’t freely assemble, you’re on hit lists. Our Congress is dysfunctional. All these things are linked together,” Steele said.

I can’t believe I ever voted for this jerk!
LOL! I really wonder sometimes if these people actually believe what they are saying.
Anyone claiming that democracy is at risk from Republicans is clearly lying, and therefore nothing that person says is relevant. The only threat to democracy is from Democrats and their plans to permanently entrench fraud in our elections, to the point where they will no longer mean anything because it will be impossible for a Democrat to lose. Then they will be free to pack the supreme court, ignore the constitution, abolish the electoral college, and install tyranny.
Or at least they will, until enough patriotic and armed Americans have reached the boiling point and rise up against them. If they get their way then sooner or later there will be a revolution and a bloody civil war, they will all end up dead, but what emerges is likely to be worse than we had before they started on this agenda. The Second United States is likely to be less tolerant of dissent and difference, and that will be a bad thing, not just for Democrats but for everyone. So they should stop pushing now.
Of course if you have as much money as him,it probably doesn’t matter much what you pay at the pump, but for the rest of us peasants…..
Politicizing idiocy. Resident Biden has the lion’s share of the current USA economic woes as his legacy. From his spiteful and stupid reversal of Trump’s protective border policies, to his crippling of the country’s industrial base through unnecessary and unproven covid health mandates and policies that increased unemployment and exacerbated manufacturing and supply chain inadequacies, to inept agency appointments that have over-regulated small business, and much more (including politicizing the petroleum and fuel industries and reserves), he has nothing to legitimize his decisions in any real way.
So he thinks it’s a democracy because the party is called democrat? Playing games with the constitution and going after citizens while not enforcing criminal laws ain’t a democracy.
