B’chasdei Hashem, an 11-month-old infant who earlier in the week went into cardiac arrest after choking on a foreign body is being released from the hospital.
The parents were told their son is expected to be released before Shabbos and Baruch Hashem; he did not sustain any permanent neurological deficits as a result of the cardiac arrest.
The infant was being fed soup at a babysitter on Sunday when the choking incident occurred. He was transported to the hospital as EMS personnel were performing CPR.

on the way to the hospital they also had to stop the ambulance to perform cpr (this was reprted in the local chardei paper) The parents also sent a letter to the paper praising Hashem and the hatzlah members who after the child had no pulse and stopped breathing for a long time, continued to try and resesate him.
almost unheard of to “get a child back” after a cardiac arrest- even with advanced life support. they rarely cardiac arrest usually just respiratory arrest, so this really is a remarkable story. wow.
