According to senior PA officials Dr. Saeb Erekat, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) will be hosted in Washington towards month’s end by Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice.
Rice met on Wednesday with a PA delegation as she continues to pressure Israel and the PA towards signing a peace agreement before the end of the term of the current Bush-led administration.
According to Erekat, the senior officials will begin a three-day summit in Washington on 30 July, with each side bringing a negotiating team towards moving ahead in the stalled talks.
