The winter weather that’s dumping snow on the region means headaches for airline travelers.
At LaGuardia Airport, crowds of people who had been hoping to fly out were instead gathered around ticket counters trying to make alternate arrangements.
Forecasters said the storm could bring up to a foot of snow to New York City. It stretched 1,000 miles between Kentucky and Massachusetts but was expected to hit hardest between Philadelphia and Boston.
More than 2,800 fights on Tuesday were canceled at airports affected by the weather, with another 700 for Wednesday already canceled.
