Temperatures will be just above normal today ahead of an arctic cold front approaching from the north today. Bitterly cold temperatures are expected Tuesday through Friday. Snow is expected on Tuesday and may be heavy at times, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours. Dry, but cold conditions will continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
Timing and Precipitation
Light snow will develop late Tuesday morning with the heaviest snow in the afternoon and evening before tapering off after midnight. The heaviest snow will be between 3 PM and Midnight with – 1 inch per hour snowfall rates possible during the heaviest periods of snow. A total of 4-8 inches of snow is expected across the city with locally higher amounts possible.

Tuesday: high in the lower 20s, dropping to the teens in the afternoon with wind chills in the single digits.
Tuesday Night: Overnight lows near 10 degrees with wind chills of -5.
Wednesday: high in the upper 10s to near 20 with wind chills in the single digits.
Wednesday Night: Overnight lows near 12 degrees with wind chills in the single digits.
Thursday: high near 27 and a low near 14
Friday: high near 27 and a low near 21
