One man was killed and another was injured after a shooting in Midwood Saturday morning.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at the corner of Ave I & East 16th Street, within the confines of the 70th precinct, at 4:17AM. Upon arrival, police observed two victims shot. The first victim was 23-year-old Gerard Grant, of Carnarsie, who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced DOA at the scene by EMS. The second victim is a 24 year-old male, who sustained a single gunshot wound and is listed in critical condition at Kings County Hospital.
Sources tell YWN that the victims were inside a car when they were shot.
The name of the second victim has not been released by police. No arrests have been made.
Inspector Eric Rodriguez, Commanding Officer of the 70 Precinct, as well as officers from the Community Affairs were on the scene to ensure that Detectives work hard on all possible leads on the homicide, which occurred in a very quiet residential neighborhood.
Sources tell YWN that the murder is an isolated incident, and the victims as well as the perpetrators are not from the area. It appears the victims were followed for quite some time before they were shot. It’s possible that the perpetrators shot the victims on that particular street, after the victims’ vehicle entered the block – which is a dead-end, with no way for them to exit.

Don’t make the error of equating acheinu bnei yisroel with sechora.
Peakman(shredready),
I notice that you did not say all sorts of foul vicious lies about these individuals as you did about Menachem Stark. Why might that be?
