Israel’s Military Court of Appeals on Monday accepted the appeal of the military prosecution against the release of Ahmad Hamarsheh, the father of Bnei Brak terrorist Dia Hamarsha who engaged in severe terror incitement and encouraged further attacks.
A judge in the Shomron military court had made the outragous decision that Hamarsheh should be released until his trial due to his status as a “bereaved father” despite the fact that the military prosecution had deemed him as dangerous and a flight risk.
Meanwhile, the bereaved relatives of the Bnei Brak terror victims filed a legal complaint against the judge demanding that he be removed from his position.
The lawyers’ letter of the complaint states: “The complaint regards the fundamental moral failure of the judge’s statements, which is an impediment to the judge sitting on the court’s bench for even one more day, and a priori prevents him from holding the rank of officer and wearing the IDF uniform.”

The damage was already done when the Palestinians saw that we even CONSIDERED letting him off the hook. Hopefully, they will repair this harm by removing the judge, thus proclaiming to any would-be terrorist that we will not take something like this lightly.

Father of Bnei Brak terrorist sentenced to 14 months in prison – IDF

Ahmed Hamarsheh, father of terrorist Dia Hamarsheh, was convicted on Sunday of incitement and support for a hostile organization, according to the IDF on Twitter.
Hamarsheh encouraged and supported the actions of his son, who carried out a terrorist attack in Bnei Brak on March 29, 2022, in which five people were murdered.
The convicted criminal gave several speeches in support of his son following the attack, both in person and on social media. He praised his son and the perpetrators of other attacks and called for the continuation of a violent struggle in Israel.
The court sentenced Hamarsheh to serve 14 months in prison.
