IRNA: Israelis Leaving the Country Fearing Iranian Attack

Iran’s propaganda machine is working overtime with IRNA, Tehran’s official state-run news agency, reporting that Israelis are fleeing the country following last week’s successful missile launches in Iran.

The state-run news agency is telling Iranians that following the major military exercise, Israelis are aware of the impending disaster and as such, many are opting to flee the country ahead of the attack.

In actuality, while Israel’s intelligence community continues monitoring events in Tehran with concern, the experts in Israel stated last week’s missile launches did not show anything new and reports of a new longer-range Shibhab-3 missile appeared exaggerated. That said; experts are aware that Iran does indeed have the capability of launching long-range ballistic missiles at Israel, as well as American military bases in the Persian Gulf.

This in part explains the grave concern over the continuing progress being made in Iran’s nuclear enrichment program since one of the long-range ballistic missiles could indeed be armed with a nuclear warhead.

In a special report published by YWN on May 1, 2008 [HERE], former senior IDF intelligence officer Yossi Kuperwasser details some of the threats vis-à-vis Iran, stating that Israel must preempt with an attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Kuperwasser stated that whatever the damage would be today, it is 1:10,000 to what will follow if Iran has true nuclear capabilities.

  1. this is bad for israel if people leave because of war threats.yet, you cannot blame people who leave if they have fears.
whats makes it difficult to understand is the courage of some of its leaders to take unilateral action to wish to attack iran. iarael , though mighty , will need the intervention of h’k’b’h to take on the mighty and large iran. i am personnally of the opinion that the usa will be there with israel if such an attack takes place.

    Move over Baghdad Bob!

IRNA now features its very own Yiddish speaking Middle East Affairs reporter, the one and only Freeky Freedy (formerly of Vienna)! He even wears his shtreimel and bekeshe when he broadcasts on Shabbos!

And of course a few houses in Monsey, London and Manchester have installed satellite dishes so that they can enjoy the broadcasts!
