Real Truth: National average gasoline retail sales prices (regular) were already at $4.80 (before the July 4th weekend) and with today’s drop in crude oil prices below $100/bbl, gasoline prices should drop even further by mid-week. Check the AAA website where average prices for regular and high-test are updated daily. You may still pay up to $6/gallon in Southern California, some stations in NYC etc. but we are talking about a national average sales price.
