SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Two Arabs were apprehended on Monday afternoon as they hurled rocks at Jewish motorists in Shomron between the yishuvim of Nili and Naale.

*Arabs targeted Jewish motorists in rock attacks near Revava in Shomron. No injuries reported.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Shula Zaken was questioned by Israel Police fraud unit investigators for five hours on Monday in connection with the Cremier Street case against PM Olmert.

*IDF colonel Dror Platin, the commander of IDF parachute school, who sustained serious injuries in a parachute jump on Sunday, is reported in stable/conscious condition today. It appears that he dislocated his shoulder during the jump, preventing him from deploying his parachute and landing properly. He sustained multiple factures of his lower extremities.

*A toddler was killed in a Bnei Brak intersection on Monday morning when his carriage was hit by a garbage truck.

*The European Union is protesting the planned construction of 900 housing units in Har Choma and area of Yerushalayim referred to as “East Jerusalem” by America and the PA.

*Labor, the major coalition partner, voted against the government as Kadima seeks to appoint new ministers. The vote did pass in a 47-42 vote. Eli Aflalo (Kadima) was appointed minister of absorption.
