Minister of Public Security (Yisrael Beitenu) Yitzhak Aharonovich is calling to launch police investigations against citizens who expressed joy and happiness upon hearing of the petira of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. This includes former residents of Gush Katif and communities uprooted in northern Shomron. The minister’s statements follow a report released on motzei Shabbos by News1 in which it is explained that for many Gush Katif evacuees, the petira of the former prime minister marks the closing of a circle and a response of a “mazel tov”.
It appears that the minister feels that the 10,000 people who were made homeless and had their lives uprooted by Sharon must feel and share in his sadness over the loss, and those brazen enough to express joy over the news demands a police investigation. He calls their reaction “criminal” and feels such reactions should not be publicized for doing so contributes “to further dividing the nation and spreading an extremist ideology”.
Knesset Guard officials have announced they will exhibit zero tolerance for any “acts of provocation”. Orange ribbons, the symbol of the Gush Katif struggle are prohibited from Knesset prior to Sharon’s levaya and officers taking part in the honor guard details while the coffin lays in state have strict orders to diligently search everyone passing through to avoid any unwanted acts.

You just can’t make this stuff up.
Ho is not happy one less ” כופר בה
The article is unfair. Israel is among the most democratic, law abiding and tolerant countries in the middle east. They draw rings around the competition (Syria, Lebanaon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, etc.).
They are only investigating people who expressed a rude and politically incorrect idea – it’s not like they rounded them up and shot them.
Remember that while Israel and America owe their concept of civil rights to the Brits, the Americans are based on the rights the Americans as Englishman defended in the revolution, and the Israeli concept of rights is based on what the Brits exported to the rebellious provinces of their Empire – which is actually very similar to the rights of English minus Freedom of Expression and Due Process.
Good that Ariel will be buried on his ranch, there is lots of room there for his wife and his wifes sister who he preferred over his wife, of course while still married to his wife, what is sometimes referred to as “a happy triangle”. And just like the goyim of the world, his body will be placed in the knesset, regardless of the consequences to The Land as well described by Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and others – it contaminates The Land. Not to worry, always better to go after the ways of the goyim of the planet ….. But even these don’t give away their land to the killers of their children …..
Freedom of speech is alive and well in the modern madina, provided one does not use it, against the wishes and views of the far left ….. not even against the betrayer of Hevron …..
danost, that is Zionism: to become yet another goy nation like the rest on this planet.
Unlike the other nations of the world, even compared to the greatest pariah state, Zionists have the unique handicap of needing to “prove” they are not anymore Jews (not that the goyim ever believe them) and that they would do whatever it takes to be accepted to that club of nations.
This reminds me of North Korea when Kim Jung died and there were video shots of peoples forced crying in the streets.
“Israel and America owe their concept of civil rights to the Brits”
At least as much of that concept is due to the Enlightenment as expressed by philosophers on the Continent.
“the betrayer”
The entire world is honoring Sharon except for the Arab and Iranian and rashaim, and political extremists in Israel. That says a lot!
charliehall : “owe to the Brits” — who took the rights of Englishmen (what Americans fought for), deducted the parts they never allowed the Irish, and exported most of what was left to the Empire. As I said, it’s the historical “rights of English” that in America are the basis of civil liberties, minus Freedom of Expresson and Due Process. The “export” version of British law.
P.S. Sharon, probably through incompetence, caused an outrageous massacre of Palestinian civilians. He seized people’s property without compensation for political reasons, and through bungling caused a extremist group to be in control of Gaza where it is doing its best to start a war. Unless you find murder, theft and incompetence to be desirable traits in a leader, I don’t see why you like him so.
