Noam Glick was wounded by gunfire near her Shomron in the community of Psagot in an attack that occurred in October 2013.
Authorities are now reporting that an arrest was made, adding the attack was not a terrorist incident but a criminal act. It is reported that Abdullah Abu Kabita, 21, a resident of el-Bireh is in custody. He broke into the community to steal guns. A second man, Shibli Karan, 19, an accomplice, was also arrested. They planned to break into a home(s) to steal weapons.
Officials learned the assailants were in the community a number of days earlier, when they cut a hole in the fence. When they saw a car in the area, they fled, returning on the motzei Shabbos of the attack.
Adding to the confusion is the fact that security officials now report she was stabbed however medical personnel treating Noam stated she was shot, which is in line with the reports of hearing gunfire in the community.
Noam arrived in a Jerusalem Hospital with a serious neck injury. Baruch Hashem she has since recovered from her physical injuries.
