Even if an oines can daven after sof zman tefilla, (and too many people have stretched the definition of oines….) one can NOT say Birkas Krias Shema. In other words, that means that after Yishtabach, one must skip straight to Shemone Esrey. Quite a guilt-ridden experience….. certainly not one worth repeating!
