Timing and Precipitation
Snow will begin to taper off after 8 AM with only light flurries expected after 9 AM. However, blowing of snow will continue throughout the day. Snowfall totals of 8-10 inches are expected across the city with some locations reporting unofficial totals of 9 inches of snow so far.
Winds
Winds today will be 20-30 MPH with gusts of 40 MPH possible. Strong winds will contribute blowing snow and wind chills below zero degrees for most of the day. Winds will start to decrease tonight to 10-15 MPH.
Temperatures
High temperatures of 15 degrees with wind chills of negative 11 degrees are possible this morning. Wind chills will stay near or below zero degrees today. The low temperature tonight will be 3 degrees with wind chills near negative 8 degrees. Temperatures will start to warm up on Saturday with the high temperatures late in the day in the upper 20s. Wind chills on Saturday will remain in the teens until the evening when they rise into the 20s.
