The Knesset on Wednesday approved a preliminary reading of a bill that stipulates instead of razing the home of a terrorist, the home would become state property and it may be sold.

According to the author of the bill, Likud MK Gideon Saar, a body would be established to address such issues, making a decision if a building should be sold, turned over to the IDF, or perhaps, another government agency.

Saar pointed out such a law was approved by American lawmakers in the ongoing battle against terrorism, and other countries are following suit, also using such a move as a weapon against tax evaders and other law-breakers.

Last week, the Knesset approved another bill, presented by Likud MK Yuli Edelstein and MK (NRP) Nissim Slomianski, which would permit the government to cancel citizenship and rights of families of terrorists possessing Israeli citizenship.

Another bill, presented by MKs Eliyahu Gabbai (NRP) and Avraham Michaeli (Shas) permits authorities to raze the home of terrorists.

All the bills which passed their preliminary readings are being prepared for their next vote in the plenum.
