so many people have suddenly died what does that mean for us ?
May 10, 2022 7:17 pm at 7:17 pm #2085443AviraDeArahParticipantOne of the avos davened that people should not doe suddenly, but should first get sick so that they can put their affairs in order(and do teshuva).
May 10, 2022 7:18 pm at 7:18 pm #2085448ujmParticipantWas there a time in history when people stopped dying?
May 10, 2022 7:29 pm at 7:29 pm #2085462yungermanSParticipantWhat do YOU think it means? We all know the truth and fact that THERE’S NO SUCH A THING AS COINCIDENCE and the fact that EVERYTHING HASHEM DOES IS FOR THE GOOD.
You and I all have the gift of free will and choice which means we can either be like fools and continue living in denial like we don’t get Hashems wake up calls to return him Hashem all as one loving nation or we can do vice versa and bring a complete stop to all horrific tragedies and an end of death to the world.
THAT’S FOR US TO DECIDE ON OUR OWN WITH THE GIFT OF FREE WILL HASHEM GAVE US but make sure you remember what thus means….. That if these tragedies and deaths continue god forbid then THERE’S NO ONE TO BLAME BUT OURSELVES cause we had and still have the power now to prevent this from happening in the future.
LETS MAKE SURE TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE

May 11, 2022 12:28 pm at 12:28 pm #2085621The10thWindowParticipantEveryone here is either very uneducated or a TROLL. Sudden Death Syndrome is a real consequence of the Experimental Covid Vaccine. Sudden Death Syndrome has gone up by a whopping 50 percent since they rolled it out.
May 11, 2022 3:24 pm at 3:24 pm #2085745GadolhadorahParticipant10th Window: Sounds more like you fell out of a 10th floor window. Good news is that B’h you survived. Bad news is that you seem to be suffering from some sort of delusional episodes.
Assuming you are not referring to SIDS (Sudden infant death syndrome) where rates are noticeably declining, a recent study compared the incidence of “sudden deaths” occurring outside the hospital across highly diverse neighborhoods found that increased sudden deaths during the pandemic was positively correlated to higher rates of virus infection in a neighborhood and inversely correlated to lower vaccination rates.. The analysis appears in Heart Rhythm, the official journal of the Heart Rhythm Society, the Cardiac Electrophysiology Society, and the Pediatric & Congenital Electrophysiology Society, published by Elsevier. In any event, NO study found a 50 percent increase in any definition of what you reference as sudden death. There were elevated levels of unexplained mortality but those have been linked to the fact that many individuals deferred medical exams and treatments during the 18 months of the most intense Covid outbreaks and we are now seeing the consequences of medical conditions that might have otherwise been treatable .May 11, 2022 9:35 pm at 9:35 pm #2085847Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantGadol > we are now seeing the consequences of medical conditions that might have otherwise been treatable .
I agree with the rest you are saying, but I would be curious to see statistics by condition. Would not be surprised that for some conditions, there will no or positive effect. For example, there is always speculation that early detection of some (not all) tumors causes extra biopsies, surgeries, without effect on survival. Also, there is famous research that mortality of heart surgeries decreases on the week when all senior surgeons are away for major annual conference.

July 17, 2022 3:28 pm at 3:28 pm #2106618Amil ZolaParticipantLacking the evidence that an autopsy would provide, sudden death among frum jews is just that with no medical evidence to prove its cause.
July 17, 2022 4:48 pm at 4:48 pm #2106637commonsaychelParticipant@Amil Zola, Rigor Mortis is the same for all humans regardless of the cause of death.
July 17, 2022 9:10 pm at 9:10 pm #2106656yungermanSParticipantThis world down here us only a temporary physical world that every person has a mission to complete here to make them ready for the true world above where a person gets to serve Hashem face to face….
Like it says in Pirkei Avos this world us only a sidewalk to the real world above…..
Some people it takes 120 years to accomplish their mission in this temporary world and other a accomplish it in a few years or even months and are ready for the olam haemes above to serve Hashem
July 17, 2022 9:11 pm at 9:11 pm #2106652Amil ZolaParticipantCS, I don’t dispute that, actually I”m too lazy to research your claim to see if it is accurate. That being said, without an autopsy COD is hard to claim unless there were diagnosed comorbidities. Some, not all, comorbidities can be diagnosed after death.
July 17, 2022 10:24 pm at 10:24 pm #2106672Reb EliezerParticipantThe Rambam left to his son אשרי מי שכלו שנותיו מהרה, it is wonderful for whom his years end early. One does not suffer living through this temporary world.
July 18, 2022 12:09 am at 12:09 am #2106694Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantThere seems indeed to be an increase with post with BDE on YWN according to google search:
700 in 2021 and 500 so far in 2022, while it was 230 in 2020 abd 120-170 in previous years, Petira gives simialrstats. Simchas and mazal tov also increased but by not so much. Not sure whether this is YWN seeing people clicking on the articles and providing more, or more material in general or magefa consequences,July 18, 2022 10:49 pm at 10:49 pm #2107044GISH MAKParticipantit mean we have to WAKE UP and smell the coffee Hashem wants something from us!
July 31, 2022 10:45 am at 10:45 am #2110525Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantA perennial question comes up in the news when an unexpected petirah is reported: maybe it was a vaccine or a virus.
A jan 2022 article in Palos analyzes UK data for a million of patients. They show 10x increase in cardiac events first several weeks after COVID, getting back to normal after 3 to 12 months. Refer to the article for specific details if you have something to be concerned.

July 31, 2022 12:51 pm at 12:51 pm #2110584Menachem ShmeiParticipantSome things are just completely incomprehensible, like the sudden death of an innocent 13-year-old bochur while bringing Yidden closer to Yiddishkeit.
At times like these, we must remember the Gemara about Moshe’s question to the Ribbono Shel Olam when he saw the terrible fate of Rabbi Akiva:
אמר לפניו, רבש”ע זו תורה וזו שכרה
א”ל, שתוק כך עלה במחשבה לפני
מנחות כט, ב-July 31, 2022 2:58 pm at 2:58 pm #2110606Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantNot Ch’V relating to any particular tragedy, but there is an appropriate R Avigdor Miller’s story that, I think, I brought in here recently: someone invites a beggar from the street, goes to get him another cup of tea, and the beggar meanwhile throws hot water into baby’s face. Incomprehensible would be the first reaction, but it is putting undeserved guilt onto Hashem. This person, while engaged in a mitzva, did an aveira of leaving a baby near an unstable person and was punished directly through that action. Not saying this is always an explanation, but this seems to be a reasonable way to look at things generally – not putting guilt on some people, but as public policy.
July 31, 2022 7:31 pm at 7:31 pm #2110635commonsaychelParticipant@menachem, sudden death does not include MVAs, 1.3 millon people die each year from MVAs, while unexpected and tragic it always had a root cause, unsafe driving, ped. error, sun glare, etc etc

“We dont know why and to ask why in my opinon is kifera”
As I brought from the Gemara in Menachos.
@Kuvult, thanks for lightening the atmosphere (even if it had to be macabre humor) -
