Police Questioning Witnesses in NYC in Olmert Talansky Case

Likud activist Sharon Tzur, 36, makes an appearance on the front page of the daily Haaretz on Wednesday, apparently another state witness being interviewed by police in the growing case against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

According to the report, Tzur was present on at least one occasion when Moshe Talansky handed an envelope containing cash to Mr. Olmert.

During his extensive questioning, Talansky mentioned Tzur’s name a number of times and now police who traveled to N. America are seeking to verify the accuracy of Talansky’s statements.

NOTE: Tzur was born in Canada and moved to Israel together with her mother at age seven. Also accompanying them was Sharon’s grandfather, Tzvi Rosenblatt, one of the suspects in the 1933 murder of Chaim Arlosoroff. The other suspects were Abba Achmeir and Abraham Stavsky.
