According to a Galei Tzahal (Army Radio), a poll by Macro, The Center of Political Economics and the Blue & White Future NGO, most Jewish residents of the Jordan Valley would be willing to leave their homes if a peace agreement is signed.

Speaking to radio host Razi Barkai, a resident of the Jordan Valley community of Mecholah, Aviad Yazrieli said residents of his community would not be willing to leave, not before or after the signing of an agreement. He added that prime ministers throughout the years have stressed the significance of the Jordan Valley from a security and farming perspective. He pointed out that residents of Gush Katif are no longer in their homes and look at their plight today.
Yazrieli added “I can only speak on my own behalf. If there is a true peace agreement, one signed by all of the Arab leaders and the international community, one that would result in genuine peace, than I too would not be a stumbling block to such a process. The younger Palestinians must also be educated to strive for peace”. He stated what is being discussed today has nothing to do with real peace.
He concluded that if compelled to leave he would not break the law but he will do everything within the framework of the law to resist being ousted from his home.

The Jewish population of the Jordan valley is tiny and is comprised almost exclusively by members of the ‘hityashvut haovedet’ (i.e., kibbutzim and moshavim affiliated with the Labor party), with a small D”L contingent. Nothing surprising here.
The poll was confirmed as a fraud.
In a true peace, they would be allowed to remain in their homes and be accorded the same rights in ‘Palestine’ that Arabs have in Israel.
Can anyone explain to me how it is that Abbas can stand up and say ‘Palestine’ will be Judenrein and no one in the international arena says a word? But, can you imagine the outcry if Israel merely suggested a population exchange? Arabs for Jews? If ‘Palestine’ can be Judenrein then Israel can be Arabrein, right?
Never happen! The Arabs should feel insulted that Western governments do not consider them on a high enough human level to be held to Western standards of decency.
I don’t think they care, though. And neither should we. They do what’s best for them and so should we! But, no, we have to be holier than the pope, laying down our own lives so our enemies can prosper and always turning the other cheek. God help us and save us from all our enemies, both external and internal!!
