According to a report in the daily Ma’ariv, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert admitted to police that he accepted cash envelopes from Moshe Talansky on two occasions, but insists the envelopes contained several hundred dollars, no more – and not the enormous sums reported in the media based on Talansky’s testimony.
Police find the fact that Olmert admits to taking envelopes as a significant development since he is not denying the factual accuracy of Talansky’s statements, but he is nevertheless stating the amount of money received was far less than claimed by the state’s star witness.
According to Ma’ariv, police requested that the prime minister a lot several hours for his questioning session on Friday, but it appears the prime minister has only allocated a two-hour slot which is set to begin at 10:00AM.

Why the long face? Do bribes have a bad smell?
He who admits to half is as if he admitted to the whole thing.

Olmert has a oversized need for granduer, money is needed to upkeep that lifestyle, particularly when most of the country is going broke.
Just wondering.
If this story concerned a Chasidic Rebbe, would the story be posted?
Would you accompany the story with a similar picture?
If Rabbi Talansky had a heimishe background, would he be treated any differently?
