A young man was shot and wounded seriously on Hashomer Street in Bnei Brak near the corner of Avraham Ben David Street, on Sunday night 26 Teves, close to midnight. Ichud Hatzalah responders were first on the scene, treating the victim who was later transported to Tel Hashomer Hospital. EMTs on the scene reported the victim appears to be in his 20s. Police are investigating the motive for the shooting, which appears to be criminal.
Israel Radio on Monday morning reported the victim “is known to police,” generally indicating he has a criminal record. No additional information is available at this time.
Ichud Hatzalah’s Lazar Stein said “When I arrived on the scene I was facing a young man who was wounded by gunfire in his upper torso. He was conscious and his condition deteriorated quickly. He was transported to the trauma unit of Tel Hashomer and doctors took him into surgery immediately in an effort to save his life. He was listed in serious-to-critical condition upon his arrival at the trauma unit.
UPDATE:
Two suspects have been taken into custody and being arraigned. They were apprehended trying to flee the country, on their way to Spain. The suspect continues fighting for his life in Tel Hashomer Hospital.

Typical Bnei Brak-style. Shows that most of those in Hatzala (etc, etc) just want to run around looking important and racing around with a siren.
