SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*A mortar shell landed in the Western Negev near Ein Shalosh. No injuries reported.

*A Hamas terror cell linked to bombing attacks was apprehended in Shechem.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Motor vehicle bureaus remain closed due to ongoing strike.

*Heat-wave predicted for the end of the week, with temperatures rising daily.

*Members of the IDF Rabbinate working to exhume bodies of terrorists are not permitted to carry cellular telephones with cameras. The military does not wish to see photos appearing on websites.

*Police on Friday, at 10:00AM, will question Prime Minister Ehud Olmert for a third time. Police indicated they require at least two hours.

*Netanya: 1 dead and 8 injured when construction scaffolding collapsed. The dead man was a 23-year-old Israeli Arab worker from Um el-Fahm.

*Greater Sderot Area residents blocked the Nachal Oz Crossing to Gaza on Tuesday in protest against mortar shell attacks. They interfered with the travel of gasoline trucks attempting to deliver fuel to Gaza.

*Opposition leader Netanyahu rejects reprimand from Knesset Ethics Committee, call his violation a technical error.

*IDF is investigating Monday’s shooting death of an Egyptian border policeman by an infiltrator.
