It was a double swan song for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and WOR-AM radio host John Gambling.
On Friday the men ended more than a decade of weekly broadcasts together.
Gambling’s live morning show, “Rambling With Gambling,” was his last before retirement.
Bloomberg leaves office Dec. 31.
The show featuring the two men was a weekly fixture. Bloomberg often made news with comments on key policy issues or controversies.
Bloomberg’s parting gift to Gambling was a crystal apple.
Bloomberg also shared plans for his first days as ex-mayor. He said he’ll spend two days in Hawaii, a week in New Zealand, and then he’s back to work. He didn’t say exactly what that would be.
