Jerusalem Municipality Gradually Resuming Regular Parking Enforcement

jerusalem municipality logoJerusalem City Hall announces it is “gradually” resuming regular parking enforcement following last week’s blizzard that shut the city down. Beginning on Thursday, 16 Teves 5774, parking enforcement agents will begin issuing summonses.

In stage one, summonses will only be written for illegally parked vehicles that are significantly interfering with the flow of traffic and/or endangering pedestrians. Special attention will be focused on vehicles blocking authorized crosswalks and in areas in proximity to schools.

In paid parking areas such as parking meters, if the curbs have been cleared of snow summonses will be written as well for as long as motorists can access meters. Beginning on Sunday, 19 Teves all traffic enforcement will resume.

All schools and kindergartens in the city are open.

  1. Instead of worrying about tickets, maybe the meter maids should be handed shovels and help clear the streets and sidewalks…..!!!!!!

  2. “Regular Parking Enforcement” means where it is convenient to give tickets.
They never ticket cars that are blocking bus stops and crosswalks in the outlying areas.
I have missed buses numerous times because the driver didn’t see me st the stop thanks to a parked car.
