The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine praises Israel
Israel has taken on a difficult but welcome task of mediating on the path to peace and ending a Russian invasion of Ukraine. A significant dialogue with Israel is also known regarding its participation in humanitarian aid.
He also notes that Israel has agreed to accept Ukrainians who have relatives in the country.__________

EY is desparately trying to thread the needle between the Russian and Western positions on Ukraine w/o triggering any reaction from Putin which would hurt EY in both Syria as well as the situation of Yidden in Russia. So far, they’ve been reasonably successful but their efforts may be styled as a dangerous geopolitical version of an old idiom warning that מיט איין פּאָר פֿיס קען מען ניט טאַנצן אויף צוויי חתונות
For those who don’t understand above, with the same feet one cannot dance at two weddings at the same time.
GHD: Don’t mix-up “EY” with the State of Israel. They’re two very different entities.
It’s not like every country in the world has taken a 1-side stance in every conflict with actual involvement.
Now, as a Ukrainian Jew, I am interested in the welfare of other Ukrainian Jews, but I am also interested in the safety of all Jews including those in Russia and Iran…But whether each person takes a “side” is not relevant.
But with all of this being said, Putin’s actions aren’t justified in this case, and the backfire against Russia is going to seriously affect them.
UJM: Many thanks for the geography lesson. I’ll forego the acronym and just use “Israel”. In any event, there was apparently another telephone conference several hours ago between Bennett and Putin, although no details have yet been released.
