Anarchists for Peace and left-wingers from abroad continue to take part in violent law-breaking protests in the Arab community of Na’alin, in the Modi’in area. They are protesting the construction of the area security fence, which they insist is resulting in expropriation of village land.
In the latest round of demonstrations, border police and other security forces were attacked with rocks, bottles, firebombs and other items, resulting in a number of policemen sustaining light facial injuries. Some 30 protestors were injured when security forces were compelled to use riot-control adjuncts to restore order.
As a result of the escalating violence, the army has imposed a curfew on the village which is located near Modi’in and Chasmonaim.
