Despite efforts to exhibit an air of ‘business as usual,’ Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is indeed occupied with the police investigation against him involving Moshe Talansky. The parties are scheduled to return to the Jerusalem District Court on July 17th.
In addition to the three-man legal team, the prime minister has now hired an outside public relations man, Amir Dan, the manager of the international public relations firm McCann Erikson. Olmert is still working to improve his image, seeking to deflect some of the harsh criticisms against him.
While he has agreed to party primaries intended to elect a new leader, the prime minister appears to have plans to continue in public office despite widespread public disapproval of his actions.
