However, in 1790, a great fire occurred burning down the central Prime Hope Mill which he simply rebuilt and gave it a new name-New Hope Mill. Parry Manson and his mills were a source of hope and stability for people living in this town. The home of the five generations all together with their personal belongings, furnishings, and special mementos are now on display to visitors and therefore offer to present the unique spirit of living in this town.
