RACE CARD: NYC Mayor Adams Says He’s Criticized Because He’s Black [SEE THE VIDEO]

NYC Mayor Eric Adams asserted that the reason why some are critical of his leadership is because he is black.

“We need to really stop distorting the news,” Adams said.

“I’m a black man that’s the mayor, but my story has been interpreted by people that don’t look like me,” he said. “We gotta be honest about that. How many blacks are on editorial boards? How many blacks are determining how these stories are being written?”

“My role as mayor is being interpreted through the prisms of your reality and not mine,” Adams said. “So when you write stories, you’re not writing stories for people who were almost homeless like me. You’re not writing stories for people who were arrested and beat by police officers. You’re not writing stories for those who are dealing with high crime. You’re writing from your prisms.”

  1. Interesting, was he also criticized for being black when he was borough president, or only as a failed mayor?

And was Trump attacked by all media because hes white?

  2. Didn’t take long for the already incompetent mayor to use the race card. He doesn’t want to be criticised because he is a black man. Only tall white dumb Bozos could be criticised.
Nothing has changed since the change and if anything it has become worse. He has emboldened the blacks to attack whites, Jews, Asians because nothing happens to them. If he is such a big shot why did he have to get advice from Cuomo. If he is such a big shot why couldn’t he get the crazies to overturn the insane bail laws. If he is such a big shot why couldn’t he get the governor to remove the left wing
Siri’s sponsored DA. I am afraid to think what happens when his neighbors from the hood decide to riot
Again to get their free sneakers. Will anyone get arrested this time. I don’t
    Think so.

  3. Mayor Adams is striving to achieve good things across the board for a diverse, divided population
The Jewish community needs to lend him our support.

  4. I’m old enough to remember TYW ridiculing askanim who supported another candidate. Maybe next time just show a little self restraint instead of calling everyone else “losers.”

  5. I personally disagree with the headline and first sentence of this article.

I don’t think the mayor was talking about racism at all. I think he was making a simple point that it’s difficult for a person to fully understand the actions of another person if he has never been in that person’s shoes and shared his upbringing.

The headline and article give the mistaken impression that the mayor believes he is being attacked from those who have a bias against black people which is not his point, We need to be careful when we bandy around words such as “racist” or “anti-semite” without thinking about the context. If a Jewish person is arrested because he robbed a bank would we call the officer antisemitic?

I think YWN needs a liitle more sensitivity with the use of certain words to ensure their meaning is not being distorted.
