A new poll shows most New Yorkers believe the city’s income inequality will remain about the same under Bill de Blasio’s leadership.
The New York Times/Siena College poll also showed 23 percent think public education should be his top priority. That was followed by keeping the city safe from crime, promoting economic development and dealing with the rich/poor gap.
De Blasio was elected mayor on a central campaign promise to fight the city’s widening income inequality.
Respondents also believed many conditions will improve under de Blasio. They include public schools and transportation, the ability to obtain a good job and affordable housing, and police keeping New Yorkers safe.
The poll interviewed 1,016 adults by telephone Dec. 7-11. The margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points.

Hopefully, he’ll actually govern and keep his nose out of other peoples’ private health choices.
Especially if you are a criminal or union member.
Most union heads are criminals.
“Inequality of income” is caused by people like the CEO of General Electric earning more than the burger-flipper in McDonAld’s!
Could it possibly be that the burger-flippers job isn’t worth a CEO’s Salary? Horrors! DeBlasio and most of his new crew smell like Obama wannabes.
Socialist commie pig
Of all the toxic heavy metals, mercury is the most devastating to the brain. No legitimate scientist would ever argue that mercury is safe to inject into a child “at any dose”, and the CDC has never established any “safe” level of mercury in human blood for the simple reason that there’s isn’t any safe level.
Yet the New York City Board of Health has now decided that all children in New York City need to be injected with a devastating dose of toxic mercury as part of their twisted “public health” measure. Flu shots, of course, still contain the neurotoxin heavy metal known as mercury, yet virtually the entire medical establishment blatantly lies to the public and claims — with a straight face — that “all the mercury has been removed from vaccines.”
Thank you Michael Bloomberg & We can’t wate to see you go.
With this vote, the NYC Board of Health has just declared *NYC will be the capitol of autism in America*.
PBT, he’s a liberal, they stick their noses in everyone’s business. That’s what they do. They can run your life for you, better than you can manage it for yourself. Just ask them.
