Mishpacha journalist Aaron Granot was scheduled to marry off a daughter Thursday night the eve of 10 Teves 5774 in Petach Tikvah. Due to the snowstorm he and his family are unable to make their way from Kiryat Arba. Granot invites the tzibur at large to join him.
Posting to his Facebook page he wrote “We awakened to a wild morning. I am usually jovial at such a sight but not on a day that was to end with me escorting my daughter to the chupah in the center of the country. Extremely large snowflakes are preventing us from heading out to the location for the time being.”
He explains that dozens of invited guests have canceled so he is inviting the general public to join him in Petach Tikvah, hoping they will be able to make their way later in the day. He explains in his Facebook page that rejoicing with the chosson and kallah is a worthy mitzvah and he hopes many will join him and his family at the simcha.
Police and local authorities are brainstorming with Granot and 4-wheel transportation will be provided for his wedding party, escorting them out of the snowed over area.
