A 47-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son were found on Monday morning 6 Teves 5774 on the roof of a vehicle in Kfar Chabad. Police report that it appears the woman jumped from their second floor window, taking her son with her. They were injured lightly and moderately, transported to Assaf HaRofeh Hospital.
Mom had light injuries to her extremities while the son was listed in moderate condition with abdominal injuries. Police admit the investigation is underway but officials posit the mom hurled the son out of the window and she then jumped. Police feel the fact that they hit a car’s roof may have saved their lives, or at the very least prevented serious injuries.
The woman was released from the hospital and placed under arrest, taken for a remand hearing. The investigation continues.
