Minister of Housing (Bayit Yehudi) Uri Ariel is under fire from Israel’s to’eva community following an interview with Knesset TV. Ariel explained that from his perspective, members of the to’eva community should not be inducted into the IDF, explaining “there are things that inhibit the IDF from operating as it should.”
Ariel explains he is not singling out anyone in particular or getting into a debate regarding the abilities and bravery of members of this community. He stresses the IDF must be conducted in the spirit of the Torah and the Torah speaks out in strong terms against to’eva and the punishment is harsh and therefore their place is not in the Jewish army.

What does “opposing” mean if the IDF is full of this filth and officially legalized otherwise it’s “discriminatory”?
If he gets his way then the easy way out for yeshiva bocherim to avoid IDF service would be to simply declare themselves to be gay.
